Course Goal / Objective
The aim of this course is to teach students the importance of science and, to provide the information about the basic concepts of science, to introduce science education methods and techniques, to teach students planning, applying and evaluating science activities for preschool children, to gain skills of preparing materials and organizing environment and to provide deep understanding about education for sustainable development.
Course Content
Science, children and science learning, scientific process skills, early childhood science programs and science teaching methods and techniques, science center, science materials, the role of teachers and families in early childhood science education, assessment in science education, planning and applying science activities and discussion in classroom.
