Course Goal / Objective

This course aims to teach students the basic principles of measurement in electrical and electronic circuits. Students will learn to make accurate and reliable measurements using different measuring instruments, and to analyze and interpret measurement results.

Course Content

Measurement procedures, selection of measuring instruments, calibration, units and unit conversions, physical and electrical standards. The error, selection of appropriate tools and label properties of the measuring instrument. Classification and combination of errors. Current, voltage and power measurements. Electrical quantities current, average and peak values of the effective. The definition and measurement of active and reactive power. Electrodynamic parameters and classifications. Measurement and measurement transformers. Wattmeter, ammeter and voltmeter. Resistance, capacitance and induction measurements. Oscilloscope measurements.
