Course Goal / Objective

In this course, it is aimed to understand the importance and function of grounding and protection systems in electrical installations.

Course Content

Basic concepts used in grounding systems in electrical installations, grounding and grounding types, the effects of electric current on the human body, situations that may cause loss of life and property, general concepts related to the protection of electrical installations, primary and secondary protection zones in power systems, introduction of primary and secondary protection relays , overcurrent, short circuit, earth leakage, differential protection, transformer self-protection, distance protection relay and its applications, working principles of alarm relay systems.
