Course Goal / Objective

The aim of this course is to teach the basic concepts and applications related to the detection and measurement of radiation in cases related to Forensic Sciences.

Course Content

In this course, radiation and its types, dose units, interaction mechanisms of radiation with matter, radioactive decay, detection and measurement of radiation, radiation measurement systems and radiation detectors, counting statistics and error analysis are covered.

There is no prerequisite for this course.
