Course Goal / Objective

To give information about radiation protection, use of dosimeter in units where ionizing radiation is used in medicine, and to teach methods about calculating exposure to radiation doses.

Course Content

Radiation types, Radiation and tissue interactions, Radiation protection, Dosimetry, Dosimeter types, Clinical dosimetry, TLD-100, TLD-100H, Shielding, Shielding calculations, Dosimetric measurement methods, Patient and personnel dose calculations, Exposure limits, Error calculation in dose calculations.
