Course Goal / Objective

Students will be able to interpret diagnostic and therapeutic approaches by using the basic concepts and principles of neurosurgical diseases in the analysis of clinical cases, to choose appropriate diagnosis and treatment approaches for the situation they encounter, to apply clinical skills adequately, and to acquire appropriate attitudes and behaviors in professional and ethical values.

Course Content

In this internship application, students are divided into four main groups; History taking and basic examination training and practice, theoretical lessons, file preparation, bedside training, visits, clinic-case meetings are carried out in neurosurgery intensive care, neurosurgery services, outpatient clinics and operating rooms. Interns follow the patients in the wards of neurosurgery under the supervision of faculty members and assistants. They learn about practical applications of surgery, make observations, gain skills, participate in surgeries as sterile and/or observers.
