Course Goal / Objective
To final year physician candidates; It aims to gain the ability and attitude to define the health problems of the society by using scientific methods and epidemiological techniques and by perceiving the social characteristics of the society, to intervene in the identified problems by using health promotion and health education strategies.
Course Content
The 6-week training takes place in direct contact with the public under the supervision of physicians affiliated to the Ministry of Health in the primary health care institutions located in the Department of Public Health and the Health-Education Research Area defined as the "Field" affiliated to it. Basic Public Health, Epidemiology, Health Education , Combat and Prevention of Infectious Diseases, Maternal Health, Women's and Reproductive Health in Turkey, Family Planning, Occupational Health and Safety, Accidents and First Aid, Health Services in Unusual Situations, Community Nutrition, Laboratory in Primary Care, Child Health, Adolescent Health, Primary It consists of the application of the theoretical knowledge learned in the Term-4 Public Health internship, Seminars, Field researches and Group studies/homework in the subjects of Immunization at the Stage, School Health, Tourist Health, Zoonotic Diseases, Chronic Diseases, Elderly Health, Health Management, Environment and Public Health.
