Course Goal / Objective

The program aims to enable intern doctors to apply and develop the theoretical and practical cardiology knowledge acquired in previous classes by taking the responsibility of the patient. The main goal is to enable interns to acquire cardiology-related knowledge and skills that a good general practitioner should have.

Course Content

The duration of the cardiology internship is 3 weeks. Each intern is responsible for at least one patient in the ward or intensive care unit (coronary or intensive care). They monitor the patients they are responsible for together with the relevant assistant doctor and are considered responsible for all the tasks given during this follow-up. The aim here is to enable them to gain the ability to take responsibility for the patient, follow up, evaluate and terminate the patient. Intern doctors will evaluate and monitor the patients they are responsible for every day, and they will be involved in the examination and treatment of the patient under the supervision of assistant doctors. Every morning, they attend a visit with the relevant assistant doctor and then the responsible lecturer. Intern doctors follow the working hours of 08.00-16.30. Intern doctors; They attend scientific meetings, which are included in the cardiology training program and are held two days a week, and attend assistant training courses once a week.
