Course Goal / Objective
By the end of this course mechanical engineering students will recognize the basic structure of matter from atoms-to-molecules-to-compounds and predict the outcome of reactions in gas, liquid and solid state.
Course Content
Express introduction to atomic and electronic structure, chemical bonding, molecular structure and bonding theories, properties of liquids, solids and solutions, chemical equilibrium, kinetics, thermodynamics, metal complexes, organic compounds and nuclear chemistry.
