Course Goal / Objective

To give a comprehensive background on the biochemical properties and types of important microbial secondary metabolites of aquaculture origin and their production, together with their advantages and disadvantages.

Course Content

It covers the subjects of secondary products of microbial metabolism such as antibiotics, pharmaceutically active compounds, toxins, pigments and enzymes produced by bacterial organisms of aquaculture origin, as well as their metabolic pathways, metabolite products and experimental applications.
