Course Goal / Objective

To teach organic chemistry topics that will form the basis of pharmaceutical chemistry course in pharmacy education

Course Content

Basic concepts in organic chemistry, functional groups in organic molecules, alkanes, alkenes, alkynes and reactions, aliphatic ring structures and isomerism, stereochemistry, bioactive chiral compounds, alkyl halides, alcohols, thiols, ethers, epoxides, sulfides, organic reactions and synthesis mechanisms,
