Course Goal / Objective

To enable undergraduate students to learn about microbiology and its applications.

Course Content

History and development of microbiology, classification and naming of microorganisms, bacteria, fungi (mould, yeast, algae, protozoa, viruses, nutrition and development of microorganisms, metabolism of microorganisms, staining and staining methods of bacteria, isolation and identification of microorganisms).
