Course Goal / Objective
It aims to introduce students to experimental models of convulsions and depression.
Course Content
What are experimental convulsion models?, Fundamentals of convulsion, Classification in convulsion models, Mechanisms involved in convulsion models, Anticonvulsant drugs, Model selection criteria and limitations, What are Depression Models?, Fundamentals of depression, Classification in depression models, Mechanisms of depression models, Investigation of antidepressant drugs, Model selection criteria and limitations, Ethical Issues, Current literature on experimental convulsion and depression models
