Course Goal / Objective

The aim of the course "Drug Interactions" in pharmacology is to teach the mechanisms of drug-drug and drug-food interactions, their therapeutic and side effects, and their impact on the patient's treatment process. The course also aims to inform students about ways to avoid potential adverse drug interactions and ensure the safe use of medications in clinical practice.

Course Content

This course includes the following topics: Mechanism of drug interactions: Pharmacokinetic and Pharmacodynamic interactions, Drug-drug interactions and the importance of reporting drug side/adverse effects (pharmacovigilance), Alcohol interactions, food-interactions.

Course Precondition

There are no prerequisites for the course.
