Course Goal / Objective

The aim of this course is to provide the student with a general knowledge and equipment in the field of molecular pharmacology.

Course Content

Practical methods in molecular pharmacology - Introduction, Laboratory safety, experimental planning and ethics, Studies on receptor agonists, Studies on receptor antagonists, Studies on G proteins, Studies on effector macromolecules, Studies on intracellular second messengers, Studies on active transport pumps, Studies on sodium channels, Studies on potassium channels, Studies on calcium channels, Methods for evaluating dose-response relationships, ELISA (Enzyme Linked Immunosorbent Assay) studies-I, ELISA (Enzyme Linked Immunosorbent Assay) studies-II
