Course Goal / Objective

Defines the anatomophysiological parts of the autonomic nervous system, neurotransmitter and receptor types of sympathetic and parasympathetic systems. Explain synthesis, release, degradation and neurotransmitters in the autonomic nervous system. Explain and compare the mechanisms of action, side effects and contraindications of drugs affecting the autonomic nervous system by classifying them.

Course Content

Anatomophysiologic parts of the autonomic nervous system, autonomic nervous system neurotransmitters, biosynthesis of neurotransmitters, effects of neurotransmitters, mechanisms of action and drugs affecting the autonomic nervous system.
