Course Goal / Objective

Proposed to provide to explain the effects, mechanisms of action, side effects, contraindications, interactions and clinical pharmacology of drugs used in the treatment of cardiovascular diseases.

Course Content

Fundamentals of physiopathology of cardiovascular diseases, physiological and pharmacological properties of drugs affecting this system, mechanisms of action, side effects, contraindications and drug interactions

LO10 Antithrombotic drugs: classify anticoagulant drugs, antiplatelet drugs and thrombolytic drugs and explain and compare their pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics and mechanisms of action.
