Course Goal / Objective
To inform students about the classification of narcotic analgesics, mechanisms of action, indications and contraindications, doses used in the clinic, morphine addiction and treatment approaches
Course Content
Definition and classification of narcotic analgesics, pharmacological mechanisms of action, pharmacological effects (effects on the central nervous system, cardiovascular effects, gastrointestinal effects, other effects on smooth muscles effects, effects on the eyes), adverse effects, preparations and doses, morphine poisoning, addiction and treatment approaches, general indications and contraindications of narcotic analgesics.
