Course Goal / Objective

Assembly of mechanical products is an important element of total product cost. The main aim of the course is to give technical and economic methods and techniques related to the assembly of the parts that make up a mechanical product.

INTRODUCTION, PRODUCT DESIGN AS A REQUIREMENT FOR ECONOMIC ASSEMBLY, MANUEL ASSEMBLY, DETERMINATION OF THE ECONOMIC EFFICENCY OF ASSEMBLY CONCEPTS, MODULES FOR THE AUTOMATION OF ASSEMBLY PROCESSES, DESIGN OF ASSEMBLY MACHINES; DESIGN OF FLEXIBLE ASSEMBLY SYSTEMS (FAS), Working space, grippers, single-station assembly cell design, Combining FASs with manual work points.
