Course Goal / Objective

The aim of this course is to inform pre-service teachers who will work in K-12 classrooms about valid and reliable assessment and evaluation tools, to gain the ability to prepare, implement and evaluate assessment tools that will guide their instructional decisions.

Course Content

This course includes the importance of measurement and evaluation in education, basic concepts of measurement and evaluation, validity, reliability and usefulness of measurement tools, traditional and alternative measurement tools, simple statistical operations on measurement results.
