Course Goal / Objective

The aim of this course is to introduce descriptive statistics (measures of central tendency and dispersion) and inferential statistics (correlation, estimation of population parameters, hypothesis testing, t-tests, analysis of variance, chi-square analysis). To teach the subjects and to gain the ability to make and interpret these analyzes with the help of statistical package programs.

Course Content

Basic concepts in statistics; descriptive statistics (measures of central tendency and dispersion), estimation of population parameters (standard error and confidence intervals); hypothesis testing, decision making; analysis of variance; chi-square analysis; regression and correlation concepts.
