Course Goal / Objective
The aim of this course is to undestand the formation of collision-related basins, which are particularly significant in our country, the dynamic processes they undergo, and the characteristics of sedimentary conditions and sequences within these basins in a tectonic setting at the master's level.
Course Content
This course content includes collision-related basins, tectonic collisions and basin formation, orogenic basins, compression-related basins, foreland basins, basin evolution in collision zones, tectonic processes and basin development, collision-induced basin formation, sedimentation in collision zones, and basin architecture in collision zones.
Course Precondition
The course has no prerequisites.
Resources
1- Notes and documents that provided by the instructor. 2. Tectonics of Sedimentary Basins / Cathy J. Busby & Raymond V. Ingersol
