Course Goal / Objective
The aim of this course is to provide basic knowledge and skills in heat, water, sound and fire insulation to technicians who will work in the field of building technologies. It is aimed for students to have knowledge about insulation materials, application techniques and relevant regulations in line with the goals of increasing the energy efficiency of buildings, increasing the comfort level and extending the life of the building. It is also aimed for them to reach the competence to analyze the problems that may be encountered in field applications and to make the appropriate material and method selection.
Course Content
Within the scope of the course; basic information is given on heat, water, sound and fire insulation, materials used, application details and legislation information are conveyed. With applied examples and visually supported content, students are provided with the ability to produce solutions to situations they may encounter in the field. In addition, topics such as occupational safety, quality control and sustainable material use in insulation applications are also included.
