Course Goal / Objective
1. It is aimed to make a comparative reading of the human, which is at the center of our topic, not only in terms of religions, but also by benefiting from an intensive accumulation such as mythology and history. 3. Learning theoretical approaches and critical communication studies concerning causes and consequences of religious differences and multiculturalism as well as the resulting problems and relevant solutions. 4. To ensure the correct perception of diversity in different areas of societies with multicultural and different religions and to understand what the management of differences requires. 5. Based on sources, processes and results of cultural differences; to draw attention to the importance of managing this diversity in ways that lead people and societies to common values and synergy, instead of conflicts.
Course Content
Both the Qur’an’s references to books such as the Torah and the Gospel, and the fact that a significant section of the Quranic parables are particularly related to the Israelites and Jews, is more or less about the extent of the connection between Judaism and Christianity within Islam and other Semitic cultural traditions. The text of the Qur’an contains many stories about past prophets and tribes. In the Bible, the narratives of these prophets and parables often have a wider and more detailed content than the parables in the Qur’an. Our topic will be to understand the origin, purpose and meaning of the world in which people live, through information, narrations and news that are explained and conveyed in some religions and cultures, especially Judaism, Christianity and Islam. In this sense, it is aimed to make a comparative reading of the human, which is at the center of our topic, not only in terms of religions, but also by benefiting from an intensive accumulation such as mythology and history.
