Course Goal / Objective

The aim of this course is to provide detailed examination of the movements of the temporomandibular joint and the muscle groups that play a role in the movement. It is aimed for students to distinguish the normal joint structure, explain the anatomical basis of temporomandibular dysfunctions in clinical cases and interpret the relevant literature.

Course Content

The course aims to distinguish the basic anatomical structure of the temporomandibular joint, its movements, the ligaments and muscle groups that participate in this movement and those that limit or hinder movements.

Course Precondition

There are no prerequisites for the course.

Resources

1. Current articles and online resources 2. Dere Anatomi Atlası ve Ders Kitabı

Notes

Additional readings related to the courses will be given as part of the course.
