Course Goal / Objective

To teach the mechanics of sedimentary origin and mineralization occurring.

Course Content

Geochemical and physicochemical concepts of ore deposits/ Ores in sedimentary/ Residual deposits/ Oxidation and sementation ores/ Plaser deposits/ Biochemical sedimentary iron and manganese deposits/ Evaporation series.

LO10 Explains the alterations.
LO11 It shows mineral deposits with examples from Türkiye and the world.
LO12 Volcano sedimentary deposits (Kuruko-Cyprus type), Sedimentary beds, Chemical Residue beds, Clastic beds, Chemical Sedimentary beds, Supergene deposits, Formation of Fe and Mn Mineralizations formed by chemical and biochemical means, Pb-Zn Deposits formed in Carbonate Environments, Cu deposits in Coal Bituminous Shales, Metamorphism and Mineral Deposits explains.
