Course Goal / Objective
To learn the production techniques, machines, basic features and quality control tests of carpets and blankets from pile fabrics, which have an important place in the Turkish textile industry.
Course Content
Manufacturing and foreign trade of carpet in Turkey, the importance of this product in home textiles industry. Sector analysis. Investigation of the fiber and yarn properties used widely in the production of carpet. Carpet production techniques, Wilton and Axminster carpets, their quality control and their production accounts. Technological advances in production methods and machines of carpet.
