Course Goal / Objective

The aim of this course is to inform about fancy yarn manufacturing technologies, uses of area, properties and structure of fancy yarns, introduce the latest developments of fancy yarn technology.

Course Content

Definition, classification, historical of fancy yarn. Fancy yarn market, the importance and application areas.The main types of fancy yarn; helix (spiral) yarns, lumpy yarns, gimp yarns, ratine yarns, boucle yarn, definitions, structure, main characteristics and uses of Loop (loop), yarn, stranded (with beard), yarns, yarns nopeli, flock fibers, jasper yarns, melange yarns, Muline yarns, yarns vigüre, definitions, structures, The main properties and uses of Raised yarns, frieze yarns, knitting yarns, silvery yarns, metallic yarns, other fancy yarns, definitions, structure, main characteristics and uses of Fancy yarn manufacturing methods, classification, fold-twistingmethods.Spinning methods; slub yarn production methods, slub yarn types, characteristics user locations, core yarn (core-spun) production methods Wrapped (wrapped) methods of yarn production, yarn types, characteristics and uses of Siro spinning method, Siro yarns, characteristics and uses of Chenille yarn production techniques, chenille yarn machine parts, working principle The basic structure of chenille yarn, raw materials, yarn properties,the user places. OE-rotor, friction and air-jet spinning techniques and fancy yarn production facilities, Macart spinning method, Repko and Selfil methods.
