Course Goal / Objective

In this course, the classification of antimicrobial agents, the mechanisms of action of antimicrobials, the mechanisms of resistance to antimicrobial agents and their clinical importance will be explained, and information will be given about antibiotic susceptibility tests applied in microbiology laboratories.

Course Content

What is an antibiotic? Basic antibiotic knowledge; classification of antibiotics, mechanisms of action, resistance mechanisms and sensitivity tests constitute the content of this course.
