Course Goal / Objective

The general aim of this course is for technical staff who will pursue a career as civil engineers to understand ethical principles, grasp the processes involved in construction management, and comprehend the articles related to their field in the Zoning Law and the Planned Areas Zoning Regulation. Additionally, they will develop skills in using and preparing quantity takeoff tables, creating work schedules using the critical path method, calculating progress payments, and understanding concepts related to contracts and tenders.

Course Content

This course covers fundamental concepts related to management, legislation related to the construction sector, ethics, feasibility, land and site selection, project preparation, permits, cost estimation, resource analysis, unit price analysis, quantity takeoff, scheduling, contracts, tenders, progress payments, supervision of construction production, and acceptance of structures.
