Course Goal / Objective

To teach the biological and ionizing radiation interactions, dose-response relationships in radiation effects with numerical examples

Course Content

Basic concepts of radiology, structure of atom, molecular bonds and bond energies, electromagnetic energy and ionization, human biology, basic principles of radiobiology, molecular radiobiology, cellular radiobiology, deterministic effects of radiation, stochastic effects of radiation, homework1,2,3,4, final exam
