Course Goal / Objective

The aim of this course is to provide students with fundamental knowledge of polymer production, processing, and characterization, and to develop their skills in this field.

Course Content

This course covers the fundamental concepts of polymers, their production processes under laboratory conditions, characterization methods, processing techniques, and quality control procedures. It also aims to examine the effects of polymer processing techniques on the chemical and physical structures of polymers, evaluate the application areas of polymers, and provide an understanding of R&D approaches specific to these application areas.

LO09 Evaluates the environmental impacts of polymers, recycling methods and sustainable production approaches.
LO10 Explains basic R&D and problem-solving approaches for industrial problems within the scope of polymer technologies.
