Course Goal / Objective

The course on Steel Structures aims for students to understand the behavior of steel structural elements and to learn the design of steel members and connections according to the allowable stress design method.

Course Content

Fundamentals of Structural Steel Materials, Connection Types in Steel Structures, Tension Members, Compression Members, Members Subject to Bending Moment and Axial Load, Plate girders..
