Course Goal / Objective

The purpose of guidance services in various institutions, particularly schools, is to ensure that prospective teachers gain knowledge about the purpose, importance, function, scope, and types of these services, as well as the organizational structure of guidance services and the responsibilities of school staff, and to help them develop an understanding of guidance.

Course Content

The role of guidance and psychological counseling (GPC) services in education; the philosophy, purpose, principles, and program of the developmental guidance model (comprehensive developmental GPC program); core services/interventions; the role and function of teachers in classroom guidance; competencies to be developed in educational, vocational, personal, and social domains within the scope of GCP services; collaboration between school administrators and teachers and guidance counselors and psychological counselors; the preparation and implementation of classroom GCP plans and programs.
