Course Goal / Objective
Understanding information about waterfowl (ducks and geese) farming
Course Content
General information about waterfowl farming, general characteristics of waterfowl (geese and ducks), goose and duck breeds and their production characteristics, sexual maturity, mating and egg production in waterfowl, general characteristics of goose and duck eggs and incubation procedures, care and feeding of goose and duck chicks, environmental conditions and housing for waterfowl, feeding and nutrient requirements of geese and ducks, health protection and hygiene in waterfowl farming, obtaining and marketing of products such as eggs, meat, goose liver and feathers, goose feather production and animal welfare
