Course Goal / Objective

This course aims to provide advanced competencies in the assessment of psychopathological symptoms, to teach the scientific use of clinical assessment tools, and to enhance the integration of assessment findings into nursing care planning and clinical decision-making processes.

Course Content

Classification of psychopathological symptoms; clinical assessment processes; standardized measurement tools and scales; psychometric properties (validity and reliability); assessment based on DSM-5 and ICD-11; clinical assessment tools used in psychiatric disorders such as depression, anxiety, and psychosis; risk assessment methods (suicide and violence); interpretation of clinical data and integration into nursing care planning.
