Course Goal / Objective
The aim is to familiarize participants with sustainability principles and the green surgery approach in perioperative care processes; and to equip them with the skills to plan safe nursing practices that reduce environmental impact.
Course Content
The concept of sustainability encompasses environmental impact in healthcare, waste management in operating rooms, energy and water use, carbon footprint, sustainable supply chains, sterilization processes, reuse policies, green operating room practices, environmentally friendly initiatives in perioperative nursing, leadership, and ethics.
