Course Goal / Objective

The aim is to help surgical patients understand how daily living activities are affected in the perioperative period and to equip them with the skills to plan nursing care based on daily living activities.

Course Content

The theoretical foundations of the activities of daily living model include activity-based care in surgical patients, maintaining a safe environment, communication, breathing, nutrition, excretion, personal hygiene and dressing, maintaining body temperature, movement, sleep and rest, sexual expression, work and leisure, coping with death, and discharge education.
