Course Goal / Objective
The aim of this course is to examine the types of contracts specific to sports law from an analysis-focused perspective, thereby equipping students with the ability to devise doctrinal solutions to complex sports-related disputes.
Course Content
Within the scope of the course, the legal nature of sports, the distinction between amateur and professional athletes, the rights and obligations of athletes, the structural and functional aspects of sports institutions and organizations (clubs, federations, Ministry of Youth and Sports, etc.), contractual relations between athletes, coaches, sponsors and media organizations, sports disciplinary law, arbitration mechanisms and international dispute resolution methods are examined.
