Course Goal / Objective
The aim of this course is to examine the types of contracts specific to sports law through a practice-oriented approach, thereby equipping students with the ability to analyze contracts in the resolution of sports-related disputes and to develop practical and legal solutions to the issues encountered.
Course Content
As part of the course, contracts involving professional sports players, coaches, managers, and sponsors are examined with a practical focus within the unique framework of sports law. In this context, the legal nature of these contracts, their formation and validity requirements, termination procedures, and the liabilities of the parties are discussed using recent decisions by the Turkish Football Federation (TFF), FIFA, and the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), as well as case studies.
