Course Goal / Objective
To teach students the fundamental principles of welding technology, industrial applications, and occupational safety rules; while also building their professional foundation by raising awareness in environmental consciousness for sustainable production and industrial quality control processes.
Course Content
This course covers the introduction to welding technology, basic electricity, common welding methods (SMAW, Oxy-Fuel, MIG/MAG, TIG), and international welding symbols. Occupational health and safety rules in welding workshops are detailed. Environmental awareness topics such as reducing the carbon footprint, waste management, and gas filtration are discussed within the scope of sustainable production. Furthermore, welding quality is addressed by introducing quality assurance in weld seams, common welding defects, and destructive/non-destructive testing (NDT) methods.
