Course Goal / Objective

The aim of this course is to examine the effects of global climate change on plant bacterial diseases on a scientific basis, to evaluate the impact of climate factors on pathogen-plant interactions, and to develop sustainable disease management strategies in changing environmental conditions.

Course Content

This course examines the effects of climate change on plant health, particularly bacterial diseases. Atmospheric changes (temperature increase, CO₂ concentration, precipitation patterns) are studied along with their effects on plant physiology and pathogen biology. Plant-bacteria interactions, disease epidemiology, spread dynamics, and climate change-related risk analyses are discussed in detail. In addition, newly emerging diseases, geographical distribution changes, and integrated disease management strategies are evaluated.
