Course Goal / Objective

The aim of this course is to identify the agents that cause diseases in plants, to understand the processes of disease development, and to teach effective, sustainable, and environmentally friendly methods of combating these diseases. It is aimed that students will have the knowledge and skills to protect plant health using integrated disease management approaches.

Course Content

This course covers the definition, classification, etiology, and epidemiology of plant diseases. It also examines fungal, bacterial, viral, and abiotic disease agents; and evaluates disease diagnosis methods, modes of spread, and relationships with environmental factors.
