General Information
Çukurova University Faculty of Communication, Department of Radio, Television and Cinema was established in 2013 in order to meet the demand for qualified workforce needed in the field of Radio, Television and Cinema in our country and in the world in parallel with the rapid developments in digital technologies. Our department, which has four main disciplines, namely "Radio and Television", "Cinema", "Photography and Graphics", "Information and Information Technologies", aims to pioneer the field of media studies in Turkey, beyond providing qualified graduates to the audio-visual media with its extensive infrastructure facilities, young and dynamic academic staff. In addition to the courses related to the field in the four-year undergraduate education in radio, television and cinema, the department also includes courses aimed at providing communication and social sciences formation. The department, which has the largest training and practice studios in Turkey, has workshops related to various fields in order to enable students to use the knowledge they acquire in school in real life and to learn by producing. For this purpose, the department continues to develop its theoretical and technical structure in the current standards of the film and television industry. In the 6500 square meters of closed area, application units such as photography workshop, radio and sound studio, short film and documentary workshop where the related courses are carried out in the department have been created. The academic interests of the faculty members in the department include media policy, political economy of the media, semiotics, film studies, cinema history, feminist media studies, mass communication theories, information and information technologies. The main goal of our department is to train our graduates to find jobs in various fields of television and cinema industry. Çukurova University Department of Radio, Television and Cinema, which started accepting students in the 2014-2015 academic year, gave its first graduates in 2018. During the establishment phase of the department, the program content was determined by examining the leading radio, television and cinema programs of our country and taking into account the conditions of the faculty. Bologna principles were taken into consideration in determining the program content. Every academic year, at the beginning of the semester and at the end of the semester, course outcomes are evaluated at the department academic board and improvement studies are carried out in course content and ECTS. The Radio, Television and Cinema Programme has been accredited by the Communication Research Association (ILAD) under the authority of the Quality Assessment Registration Certificate of the Higher Education Quality Board from 20 February 2022 to 20 February 2025. ILAD is a national accreditation body with the authority to evaluate and approve the quality of programmes in the field of communication.

Goals
Çukurova University Faculty of Communication Radio, Television and Cinema BA Program, with its extensive infrastructure facilities, young and dynamic academic staff, aims to pioneer the field of media studies in Turkey, beyond providing qualified graduates to the audio-visual media.
Objectives
In addition to the courses related to the field in the four-year undergraduate education in the field of radio, television and cinema, the program aims to provide communication and social sciences formation. In order to enable students to use the knowledge they have acquired in school in real life and to learn by producing, application opportunities such as photography workshop, radio and sound studio, short film and documentary workshop have been created in the application units where the relevant courses are carried out. The main goal of our program is to train our graduates to find jobs in various fields of television and cinema industry. Specific Admission Requirements
Students are accepted with the placement result certificate in the verbal category issued by the Measurement, Selection and Placement Centre (ÖSYM). In order for the student to enrol in the department, he / she must successfully complete the steps defined by ÖSYM in accordance with the academic rules and legal regulations determined by the university / be successful in the relevant exams. Students who have started their education in an equivalent programme in Turkey or abroad can apply for transfer. Each student's application is subject to a special evaluation before the start of the new semester, taking into account their individual conditions and the characteristics of the programme they are applying for. Qualification Requirements of Graduation
In order to graduate from this program, it is necessary to have a GPA of at least 2.00/4.00, to complete 240 ECTS by taking compulsory and elective courses and to be successful in all courses. In addition, students must do an internship within the scope of RTS 404 Internship Evaluation course.
Access to Further Studies
Students who successfully complete their undergraduate education in this program can continue their education in graduate programs in their field or related fields as a result of the evaluation of ALES, undergraduate graduation grade point average and interview exam together within the framework of the Regulations on Graduate Education and Training.
Internship
The internship is one of the most critical application areas where the student has professional experience. In our program, internship is compulsory for students. Students can do an internship after completing the 3rd semester. The internship experience takes place in three different periods during the summer semester by choosing the most suitable period for the student. In addition, students who cannot do an internship in the summer semester can also perform their internship activities in the interim period. Students can do an internship in public or private sector institutions and organizations, or non-governmental organizations in the country deemed appropriate by the Internship Commission. The student's internship is evaluated within the scope of the 5 ECTS RTS 404 Internship Evaluation course.

Double Major, Additional Major & Exchange Possibilities
In accordance with Article 9 of Çukurova University Associate and Undergraduate Education and Examination Regulations; applications for double major and minor programs are made online on the date determined by the University Senate. Applications for double major programs are evaluated according to Çukurova University Double Major Program Directive, and applications for minor programs are evaluated according to Çukurova University Minor Program Directive. Minor and double major programs are carried out with the Department of Sports Management of the Faculty of Sports Sciences and the Department of Turkish Language and Literature of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences. Çukurova University Faculty of Communication has bilateral agreements with 5 programs in 4 countries (Hungary, Poland, Portugal and Romania) under the Erasmus+ Program across Europe within the scope of international cooperation. All of these are exchanged for education in the field of RTS.
Employment Opportunities
Students who graduate from the program can work as directors, cameramen, screenwriters, editors, program producers, radio broadcasters, program hosts and set photographers in the cinema, television and media industries in Turkey and abroad. However, through the knowledge, skills and competencies gained from the program, students can professionalize institutionally and individually in various fields of the cultural industries.
