In 2 years of Horticulture education, in first and second years students mainly get theorical and practical lectures related to horticulture. in first years students mainly get lectures liberal education and agronomic sciences and in the following 2. years students get theorical and practical lectures related to horticulture.

Feature & Definition
The program aims to educate graduates who are qualified to meet the expectations and requirements of public and private sector organizations in the field of garden agriculture and to prepare the graduate students for the undergraduate program. The Horticultural Associate Degree Program of Crop Production and Animal Production Department is a 2-year program consisting of 4 semesters of 30 ECTS each. In the program, undergraduate students in the first year of Botany, Soil Science, Plant Nutrition and Fertilization, Foreign Language, Plant Protection, Agricultural Ecology, Introduction to Horticulture, Mathematics, as well as basic science courses in the Plant and Animal Production Department, Garden Agriculture start the program. In addition to the joint courses foreseen for the Faculty of Agriculture from the second grade, they begin to take vocational courses. In this way, students who complete the basics of the department will concentrate on graduating at the level of vocational qualifications by choosing the fields of vocational project and internship related to the field they will work for.

Goals
Department of Crop Production, the knowledge and equipment that can compete in national and international platforms in the field of Horticultural Agriculture, the ability to follow the new developments, solve the problems encountered in the relevant stage of agricultural production The aim of this course is to apply the education and training programs which aim to gain the ability of technician who are qualified as a technician.
Objectives
An expert in Horticulture, following the current developments in agriculture, having various equipment such as foreign language knowledge and information technologies in order to establish communication and cooperations in the international field; to educate graduates at the technician level with entrepreneurial skills.
Specific Admission Requirements
Candidates with a high school diploma are placed to the Vocational School, with a direct pass from agricultural high school without examination or by central examination made from T.C. Higher Education Council Measurement Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM) or candidates showing particular success in the international exams accepted by the Higher Education Council, taking into consideration the order of preference and success. Candidates who deserve to be a student make an exact enrollment with the time and specified documents announced by the university. Candidates who fail to register at the designated time lose the right to register.

Qualification Requirements of Graduation
To be successful in this program, students are required to successfully complete all the courses and have a minimum of GPA of 2.00/4.00.
Access to Further Studies
The working people who have completed associate degree programs; With DGS (Vertical Passage Exam), according to Associate graduation field by vertical transmission to Agriculture Faculty and Forestry Engineering by completing the degree program as Faculty graduates can take "The Engineer " title.
Internship
Internship can be done in public and private sector. Internship time 30 working days
Applied Course
These are the courses made to transform the knowledge gained in theoretical courses into practical skills and to gain practice.
Work Placement
Unlike internship, it is carried out in order to develop professional skills in a workplace (school, factory, etc.) under the supervision of the instructor / staff in charge of the course.
Double Major, Additional Major & Exchange Possibilities
They may be exempt from some courses under certain regulations. If the content of the course taken in another institution is appropriate to the content of the course given in Çukurova University and approved by the relevant Vocational Education Office, the student may be exempted from this course.
Employment Opportunities
It is employed in all public and private agricultural institutions and organizations with the title of Agricultural Technician within the framework of professional qualifications.
