Course Goal / Objective
The aims of the course are that students have knowledge about the intelligent textiles have considerably importance in the future of textile industry, They know structures, kinds, properties and production methods of intelligent textiles, gain the needed awareness and prior knowledge to produce intelligent textiles, They realize current developments in textile industry and have the necessary sensitivity and knowledge to keep pace with these developments.
Course Content
Definition, development, properties and classification, functions of the intelligent textiles, electronic textiles, electrical and optical sensitive textiles, temperature sensitive textiles, thermal regulation textiles, phase change materials, chromic materials, shape memory textiles, high visibility textiles, moisture, contact, bending and torsion sensitive intelligent textiles, biomimetics, nanotechnology, other intelligent textiles, the future of intelligent textiles and novelties.
