Course Goal / Objective
Aim of this course is; to give basic informations about magmatism and tectonic environment, to define types of processes of partial melting, to give informations about homogeneous and heterogenous mixing of magmas and to give general features of magmatism, occuring in different tectonic environments.
Course Content
Magmatic processes and tectonic significance, types of processes of partial melting, crystallization of magmas, magma mixing, magmatism ans magmatic processes in tectonic environment, ophiolites, granitoids, HP-LT metamorphism (blueschists), HP-HT metamorphism (eclogites), distribution of magmatic and metamorphic belts in Turkey and their tectonic significance.
