Course Goal / Objective

To learn technical terms in physics. Getting ability to read and understand the scientific paper.

Course Content

Introduction to scientific statements, Revision of grammar: word forms (nouns, adjectives, adverbs), Revision of grammar: word forms (nouns, adjectives, adverbs), Dimensions, properties and comparisons, Impersonal statements - the passive form, Impersonal statements - the passive form, Compound (two-verb) statements - relative clauses, Objective of course: definition and importance of technical writing, Scientific statements in the past - the past simple and present perfect, Scientific statements in the past - the past simple and present perfect, Revision of grammar: articles (a, an, the), Using online-resources: TS, MS grammar check, online-dictionaries, Meaning of suffixes and prefixes, Types of writing / Format, Proposals, Instructions, Manuals, Journal articles, Wwriting an article.
