Course Goal / Objective
The aim of this lesson is to to raise awareness of students in regards to natural beauties accepted as Geological Heritage (fossils, minerals, gemstones, metals, sinkholes, sand dunes, caves, volcanoes, etc.) to ensure their protection and transfer to future generations, and to introduce geological heritage, geotourism and geoparks concepts which are new to geology and Natural Monument of Turkey qualified Geologic Formations.
Course Content
Concepts related to Geological Heritage. Foreign and domestic institutions on Geological Heritage, Geological Heritage lists and their importance and conservation, Geological heritage and the importance of education, List of Turkey geological heritage, geotourism capacity, geopark sites.
