Course Goal / Objective

To introduce the basic concepts and types of Turkish Folk Literature

Course Content

Branches of Turkish literature, parts of folk literature, sources of folk literature, Folk Literature in General terms, Anonymous Folk Literature and Sufi Literature, Aşık Literature, history, science, history of Turkish Folk Literature and relations with other branches, Field study method in Turkish Folk Science Field, format, type, content in Turkish folk literature, introducing the Mani format, introducing Koşma format.
